What Can We Expect From The ANYX Polo?

Firstly, it is a pod kit. But one that is compatible with both pre-filled pods and refillable ones too. Both of which will be widely available once this device comes to market shortly, which gives you a lot of choice when it comes to flavours.

ANYX state that the refillable pod could take 15 refills, or around 15,000 puffs!

The 0.8ohm SENSIT coil system present in the pods ensures that there is a smooth and consistent taste throughout the lifespan of the pod.

The device is compatible with the Pro and Go ranges of ANYX pods, which are pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid and have a large range of different flavours. You also have the option of purchasing the 2ml refillable pod cartridges if you wish to use your own e-liquid.

anyx polo pod options

One of the key features of the ANYX Polo is the classy design of the device, going for a real premium and elegant look with six different colour finishes to choose from.

There’s also a vertical striped breathing LED on the body to add to the design.

You’ve also got adjustable airflow, an 800mAh battery built into the device which is recharged via USB and a 17W maximum power output.

Design and Build Quality

Constructed from zinc alloy and PCTG, the ANYX does sport some head-turning looks with its metallic finishes.

I was sent the Silver and Gold versions and these do look very pretty indeed. Though they are magnets for fingerprints and micro-scratches, making it a bit of a nightmare to photograph them for the review!

Dimensions are 47.5mm x 48mm x 16.5mm and the ANYX is quite weighty at 70.4g. It sports lovely curved edges and feels very nice in the hand. Though in the hand they did remind me of old lighters that I used to use when I smoked!

There’s two small holes on the side of the device near the top, that you can thread a lanyard through.

On the front of the device is the ANYX logo down the side and opposite to this is the large vertical striped LED indicator, which lights up Green during use and when charging.

But that is about all it does, it doesn’t seem to change colour depending on the battery level, it is purely there for aesthetic purposes it seems.

At the base of the device is the USB-C charging port and a small airflow adjustment toggle.

Quick Start Guide

Simply pop one of the ANYX pre-filled or refillable pod cartridges in and you are pretty much good to go. The ANYX Polo is draw activated so you only need to take a puff on the device to get it going.

fingerprints-on-mod

A child lock system is present on the ANYX Polo, which seems a little fiddly at first glance but it’s actually quite easy to use and responsive.

Simply pull out and insert the pod five times in two seconds (you don’t need to pull the pod all the way out, just enough to break the connection between it and the device) and it will turn off and lock the device. Repeat the process to turn it back on.

Or you could just remove the pod from the device altogether when not in use…

If you want to tailor your vape a bit further, then there is an adjustable airflow toggle at the base of the ANYX device.

ANYX Pod Cartridges

You’ve got a few different options when it comes to pods that you can use in the ANYX Polo.

You can use pods from the Pro as well as the Go series of ANYX pods, which currently offer a total of 18 different flavours across both ranges, as well as the refillable pod if you wish to use your own e-liquids.

anyx-polo-battery-pod

These have a 2ml capacity and feature ANYX’s SENSIT coil technology, which offers a consistent vape from the first puff right through to the very last one. You also get three pods per pack, whereas most competing brands only offer two.

ANYX state that the refillable pod can offer up to 15,000 puffs and 15 refills. It’s quite a big claim, considering as you would usually get around 500-600 puffs from a 2ml capacity pod before you need to refill it.

There’s a magnetic connector so you simply pop a pod straight in to connect in. Once in, it is held firm and there’s no wobble.

Incredibly, after having a quick scan of their website, I found ‘Pizzwater’ under the Pro Pod section, which seems to be a Beer flavoured pod!

Honestly, I wish they had sent that one to me, I would have loved to have tried some Pizzwater!

Charging

The USB-C charging port is located at the base of the ANYX Polo and you simply need to insert the included USB-C charging cable and attach this to a power source. It charges at 1A so can take around an hour to fully charge.

The LED light indicator will flash 20 times to let you know that the battery is fully charged.

How Does the ANYX Polo Perform?

I was sent a couple of packs of the refillable pods, plus the Beast, Guava, Apple Twin and Blue Razz flavours to try out with the device.

The Beast flavour tastes like a kind of floral Grape flavour to me, though I did actually find this to be quite nice.

anyx-polo-pod-mouthpiece

The Apple Twin is a mix of Red and Green apple, Guava is a straight up exotic Guava flavour and the Blue Razz is a Blue Raspberry flavour. All of the pre-filled pods tasted very good, with authentic flavour and no chemical nastiness to them.

The refillable pod was my favourite out of the bunch, purely because I could use my own e-liquids with it. And it really does last as well, I’ve hit 15 refills on my first one and it is still going and that is with a mix of different dessert and fruit flavoured e-liquids!

Flavour hasn’t dropped off and I can’t fault the flavour delivery from this pod.

When fully charged, the ANYX Polo puts out a maximum of 17W. Combined with the 20mg nicotine salt in the pod, this gives a pretty decent hit.

I have noticed that it does drop off as the battery level decreases. The vape is pretty smooth on this device too, with a pleasing amount of vapour produced when the airflow is fully open.

battery

I did find that I could quite easily go through a whole pod in a single day, depending on my vaping habits at the time.

The 800mAh battery lasted me most of my day before I needed to place it on charge in the evening.

Which is pretty much what I would come to expect from a pod system.

As I’ve mentioned previously in this review, there is an airflow adjustment slider, however this only seems to offer me two different vaping options.

Fully open, I get a loose mouth to lung (MTL) draw, half open gives a tight mouth to lung draw, and closing it off completely renders it un-vapeable for me. We tell you what the term MTL means in our Guide To Vape Styles.

Pros

  • Very flashy looking little device
  • Absolutely solid construction
  • Easy to use
  • Simple plug and play option
  • Discreet device
  • Good sized LED indicator
  • Pre-filled and refillable pod options
  • Long lasting leak-free pods

Cons

  • An absolute fingerprint and micro-scratch magnet
  • No 2A fast charging
  • No way to tell how much e-liquid is in the pod without removing it from the device
  • Limited airflow options
  • No adjustable wattage
  • No pod included with the device
  • No battery level indicator

Final Verdict

If you want a head-turning, chic-looking device then look no further. This oozes class in the appearance department and is a real premium looking disposable vape.

I love the fact that you have got options to choose between a refillable pod or a pre-filled one.

There are people out there that don’t want the hassle of refilling pods so this will be great for them and then there’s people like me who like the option of using their preferred e-liquids. So this device caters to both.

It’s no slouch in the performance department either, offering a very good vape from the refillable and the prefilled pods. The 800mAh battery will last most people through a whole day’s worth of vaping.

Which is good as this isn’t the quickest when it comes to charging!

All in all I’m pretty impressed with the first ANYX device that I have used and I look forward to seeing more of what these guys have to offer in the future!

At the time of writing, I’m actually unable to see this pod system for sale anywhere, so I’m unable to comment on whether it offers value for money or the availability of the pods.

Many thanks to ANYX for sending the Polo in for review!

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!
