Today I’m taking a look at the Dispergo Clotted Dreams range of E-liquids.
A mix of jammy fruits and Clotted Cream, eh? Being a lover of Dessert based flavours this line up sounds right up my vaping street!
So what do we know about Dispergo as a manufacturer?
It began back in 2015 in Oxfordshire, UK with two like minded flavour mixers creating new and original ideas for friends and family. Their efforts were swiftly acknowledged by the vaping community with the release of the Jack Rabbit desserts range.
It went on to become an award winner.
By 2019 and under the name of Dispergo Vaping, their creations had piqued the attention of vape shops keen to sample some of this originality. Tired of white label products, it wasn’t long before ‘bespoke’ flavours were being produced to satiate the requirements of the more discerning vaper.
Since then, Dispergo Vaping has been catering for individual flavour requirements in vape shops up and down the UK.
We have reviewed a few of Dispergo’s e-liquids including the Unreal 2 , Unreal 3 and Fugu ranges.
The rest, as they say is history.
What Can We Expect From the Dispergo Clotted Dreams Range?
We can expect five popular fruit Jams mixed with a healthy dollop of Clotted Cream. I for one, cannot wait to try them!
You get 100ml of e-juice in a 120ml Chubby Gorilla short fill bottle so there’s enough space to add two 18mg nicotine shots of choice. This will create an overall nicotine strength of 3mg.
There are no other bottle sizes available which is a shame because those on a tighter budget will need to pick their fruit type carefully before committing. Having said that, Dispergo are offering two free nicotine shots with every purchase.
Not all vendors do this so full kudos, guys.
The juice ratio is 70VG/30PG which makes the range suited to sub ohm tanks and higher powered pod kits. You’ll also have no problems vaping them in an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) or RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer).
Keep in mind the nicotine shot ratios, too. If you want to retain the starting ratio stick with 70VG/30PG shots. Applying high VG shots will alter the mix to 80VG/20PG. Perfect for the cloud chucking RDA enthusiast.
Label Design and Presentation
There’s no mistaking one flavour from the other because each fruit is displayed bold and brash on the centre of the label. The labels are flavour colour coded too with a slight metallic sheen.
It could be my eyes but some of the smaller typing looks a little washed out and blurry against the images but batch numbers and use by dates are clearly visible.
The child proof lids and tamper evident seals pass with flying colours and we get needle nose bottle nozzles.
..I can hear the sighs of relief from users of side filling silicone stoppers!
I’m not super impressed by the machine rolling process. Four out of five have been applied unevenly and in places aren’t adhering to the bottle.
Now I know this isn’t likely to be an issue for most vapers but when a process seems rushed I often wonder if the product has been rushed too.
We’re about to find out, aren’t we..

I used the Voopoo ARGUS XT with the MAAT tank new, running the TPP DM2 0.2ohm mesh PNP coil at 55W. I’ve been extremely impressed by the flavour replication from the DM range.

Clotted Dreams – Blueberry Jam and Clotted Cream

I Say:
There’s an immediate creamy texture to this one and the Blueberry content has been very well applied. It’s not too sweet, but definitely natural tasting with plenty of tartness being able to escape during the exhale.
The fact the fruit tastes organic is a blessed relief. It’s usually artificial or synthetic and accompanied by the aroma of hairspray. Yes, this is all subjective, remember!
Some of the fruits inherent sourness is able to pull through but in a very subtle way. I find it more prominent as an after taste, helping to round off a very pleasant vaping experience.
Overall, Blueberry Jam and Clotted Cream has been well blended. The temptation to cram this with sweetener must have been huge but by careful blending, the dairy elements are able to take to their intended role.
Clotted Dreams – Zesty Lemon Jam and Clotted Cream

I Say:
This is definitely a zesty, bright Lemon flavour with much of the citrus content being drawn up into the inhale. The level of sweetness is pitched perfectly and has a very natural taste, running constantly in the background.
I’m taken back to my childhood, eating Lemon Curd sandwiches because the flavour notes are that realistic. There’s a texture and richness but without any real use of the Clotted Cream.
That’s something I feel is sorely lacking here. On occasion there’s also a dryness to the exhale which is hard to pinpoint. When experienced some of the natural sweetness to the vape is diminished.
Yet overall it’s the Lemon content that impresses me. It’s not too sharp or overwhelming.
Shame about the lack of Cream. It could’ve been a true winner.
Clotted Dreams – Sweet Peach Jam and Clotted Cream

Dispergo Says:A rich, velvety Clotted Cream, topped with sweet, juicy Peach Jam.
I Say:
There’s nothing wrong with the realistic, fruity Peach in this one! It’s a very natural taste that’s followed up with plenty of sweetness during exhale.
The tart like qualities are at their peak during inhale and make way for the succulence of the ripe Peach on the way out. Very often sour notes create an abrasive edge with Peach vapes but here it’s much smoother. There’s no real way of pin pointing why, though.
Whether that’s down to creamier ingredients I couldn’t say because there doesn’t appear to be much on offer. I was hoping for something similar to a Peach Yoghurt experience but it doesn’t translate that way.
Those dairy elements certainly seem to be struggling and a funky, almost stale aftertaste crops up all too often, marring what could’ve been something really rather special in terms of a dessert based e-liquid.
That’s an absolute shame because as a fruit vape, this is one of the better Peach ones I’ve tried in nine years of vaping.
Clotted Dreams – Raspberry Jam and Clotted Cream

Dispergo Says:A thick, silky Clotted Cream, topped with sweet and oh so scrummy Raspberry Jam.
I Say:
Once again, the Raspberry in this one is killer! For some reason lots of manufacturers opt for an overly sweet and synthetic rendition of the red Berry. And that’s fine I guess when vaping 50VG/50PG in a simple low powered starter kit because it gets the job done.
The natural sweetness and authenticity of the fruit in Raspberry Jam and Clotted Cream is very impressive. Tart like qualities are able to build by the mid point of exhale which then wrestle with the sweetness. As a combination, sweet – tart – sweet works well for me.
However, the creamier aspect of the vape lets this natural tasting fruit down – and quite badly.
The textured, layered Clotted Cream is replaced with what can only be described as ‘the rubber band’ effect. It doesn’t let it up and is most acute during the early stages of exhale.
It does recede but already tarnishes the hard work involved with creating such a moreish, tasty Raspberry.
Clotted Dreams – Strawberry Jam and Clotted Cream

Dispergo Says:A rich, fluffy Clotted Cream, topped with delightfully sweet Strawberry Jam.
I Say:
I’m having more of a difficult time identifying the fruit content with Strawberry Jam and Clotted Cream. It’s in there somewhere but doesn’t jump out in the same way as the others in the range.
That’s predominantly because there’s an unpleasant back note running throughout the exhale. It literally destroys any worthwhile flavour content. The same stale, funky taste of Sweet Peach Jam is present and washes over the sweetness of the Strawberry.
It’s so overwhelming that the juicy red berry never really stands a chance. There’s maybe the merest hint of cream right at the start of the exhale but it’s quickly replaced by that torrid staleness.
The aftertaste isn’t any better and I’m reminded by the aroma of wet dog hair! Sorry to be graphic but that’s the best way of describing it.
Strawberry Jam and Clotted Cream is an absolute no – no for me.
Final Review Verdict
In some ways I feel quite bad. I’m old school and know exactly what’s needed to replicate an effective Clotted Cream. You may know where I’m going with this.
Dispergo’s creative hands have been well and truly tied.
Having said that I have to be honest. I have to ask whether sufficient time and effort has been applied to the creamier aspects. As a consequence half the vaping experience is pretty much ruined.
The cream content is either distant, washed out or tastes funky and dry. Worse still it’s reminiscent of chewing on elastic bands.
However the fruits in general were spot on. I’m sure natural sweetener has been used and it shows because all the juiciness and vitality of the Blueberry, Peach and Raspberry flow throughout exhale. On a consistent level too.
Even the Lemon was zesty, matching the flavour description exactly.
It does beg another question. Steeping time. Provided they were pre-steeped I reckon an additional two weeks was long enough. The 3mg nicotine content was also infused because the bottles were shaken on a regular basis prior to testing.
So yeah, I got myself into a bit of a jam with this line up. The Clotted Dreams collection only really lives up to half its promise. If there’s a way of improving the creamier aspects of the range I for one would be vaping these on a very regular basis.
