The Hellvape Grimm Kit is a new pod mod system designed by Hellvape in collaboration with the YouTube vape reviewers Grimm Green and Ohm Boy OC.
Grimm and OhmBoy also collaborated on the Recoil Goat RDA and obviously they have had their own projects including Grimm’s Mi-Pod system and OhmBoy’s Rage Squonk mod.
So in a market awash with pod mods what does the Grimm Kit have to offer?
Inside the main body of the device is a 1200mAh internal battery and the mod will output between 5 and 30W.
As there is an OLED screen and from what I can see up and down adjustment buttons there should be a full Variable Wattage adjustment.
Moving on to the “pod” which is basically a removable tank where you add your own e-liquid and the coil lives.
The pod will hold 2ml of e-liquid and is refillable via the slide top cover from what I can see.
Hellvape have created a new range of coils for this kit named the “Grimm Coil Series”. So far there are two coil options and both are included in the kit:
- H3-01 – Mesh coil – 0.7ohm
- H3-02 – Regular coil – 1.2ohm
Plus the coil is replaceable – woohoo!
You can also adjust the airflow – via the ring on the base of the coil.
I am not sure what official colours will be available but so far in promotional pics I have seen a Gunmetal, Rainbow, White and Silver versions.

I do like the look of this but looking at early prices on pre-order deals this is in the Orion DNA Go sort of price range.

My current favorite devices are the Orion Plus, Wismec Preva and Dotmod AIO. I bought the Grimm AIO kit with high hopes. The looks, feel, and coils are excellent however I’ve had a few issues:
1. The drip tip is flooded with juice all the time and ends up on my tongue.
2. The unit randomly sleeps and requires a push of the fire button twice to get a puff.
Has anyone else had these issues??

I have just picked this up on sale so will see how things go, I use an artery pal 2 pro and asvape micro as my other mtl devices, il be using this the same way
So after a few weeks usage, I don’t have any issues with the device going to sleep, it responds as soon as the button is pressed. With the eliquid in the drip, it does happen here and there but not all the time, and it’s more so when I use nic salts, if I use 70vg/30pg stuff it never happens
