The OXVA XLIM PRO 4 follows on from the XLIM PRO 3, which was one of our top-reviewed pod systems of 2025, and promises to raise the bar even higher for pod system performance.

What Can We Expect From The OXVA XLIM PRO 4?
If there is one refillable pod system family that has absolutely dominated the market over the last couple of years, it’s the OXVA XLIM series!
From the looks of it, OXVA are taking the “refine, don’t redesign” approach with the XLIM PRO 4.
The familiar, pocket-friendly slim format remains, but under the hood, we are getting a newly updated intelligent power platform powered by OXVA’s Super Pulse System.
This promises to regulate the output during each puff, giving a much more stable and consistent vape as the battery depletes. OXVA have also chucked in a distinctive new illuminated interface and adjustable power, thankfully avoiding any clunky, unnecessary menu systems.
Built to pair perfectly with the new XLIM Pro 4, OXVA’s brand new ABT (Anti-Burn Tech) XLIM Cartridges are packing their brand-new Unitech 3.0 technology under the hood.
This gives you a massive step up in overall coil longevity and flavour intensity, alongside a heavily beefed-up anti-leak design to keep things clean.
Thanks to highly efficient e-liquid delivery and ultra-smooth adjustable vertical airflow, these pods produce incredibly dense, consistent vapour—perfect for pushing the sharp, bold notes of a sour blue raspberry or an authentic cola without losing any punch!
The real kicker, though, is the rapid-wicking cotton: just top it up, and it is fully primed and ready to vape in a blistering 30 seconds! Not only that, the new Anti-Burn Tech promises to stop dry hits dead in their tracks…

Design & Build Quality
OXVA’s XLIM PRO 4 is an incredibly streamlined and pocket friendly pod system, with dimensions of 124mm x 27.4mm x 17.6mm making it only a touch larger than the XLIM 4.
OXVA kindly sent over the Flowing Dark Blue and Flowing Midnight finishes over for me to take a look at, and these both astounded me with the quality of the finish!
As soon as I held the XLIM PRO 4 in hand, I could just tell that OXVA had really gone all out here with the design. This device boasts an elegant, high end appearance, accented with stunning aluminium alloy.
Front and centre on the device is the large colour screen, which is bright and bold and easy to see under any light conditions. On screen, the battery level, power output, puff count, coil resistance and puff time are displayed, and you can select from four different themes.
Above the screen is a large power button, which is used to fire the device and change settings, and just over the power button is an RGB light display which can be customised or turned off entirely.
On each side of the OXVA XLIM PRO 4 is the vertical airflow control and the Type-C charging port, and the location of the charging port means that you can stand the XLIM PRO 4 up during charging.
The OXVA ABT cartridges drop into the XLIM Pro 4 using a standard magnetic connection. Much like on the XLIM 4, there is a noticeable bit of side-to-side wobble once seated, and I have had one or two issues where the pod has lost connection when I have put a bit of pressure on it with my lips.
That being said, the pod placement here is spot on, giving you full, unobstructed visibility of your e-liquid level at a quick glance.
Couple that with the highly practical top-fill layout, and you can easily top up your pod on the fly without ever having to yank the cartridge out of the device!
Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Pod
One of the biggest quality-of-life perks with the XLIM PRO 4 is that you can top up your e-liquid without ever having to yank the cartridge out of the battery!
Just peel back the silicone bung on the top side of the pod to reveal the fill port. Pop your bottle nozzle in and squeeze, making sure to leave a tiny air pocket at the top so the juice doesn’t spill back out over your fingers.
The absolute standout feature, though, is OXVA’s Quick Prime tech. Instead of the usual five-to-ten-minute wait, the wicking is fully saturated in a blistering 30 seconds! That means minimal waiting around to prime a fresh pod!
Operation
OXVA like to ensure that their devices are accessible and easy to use, and settings can easily be changed via a combination of quick button presses.
These are as follows-
- Five clicks of the power button in two seconds turns the XLIM PRO 4 on and off
- Two quick presses of the power button opens the settings menu. Here, you can change the theme, RGB light display (or turn it off), reset the puff counter and enable eco mode. Simply long press the power button to choose an option.
- Three clicks of the power button in two seconds allows you to adjust the wattage
- Four clicks of the power button in two seconds locks or unlocks the fire button- you have the option to use auto draw or press the power button entirely. You can lock the fire button from firing the XLIM PRO 4 with this setting.
Charging
A Type-C cable is included within the box, and you simply plug this into the side of the XLIM PRO 4 and utilise a suitable charging output.
Charging can be pretty rapid with the XLIM PRO 4, as it supports 5V/3A fast charging with a compatible power output!
Whilst charging, the battery percentage is displayed on screen, and this will turn off once the battery is fully charged.

How Does The OXVA XLIM PRO 4 Perform?
The OXVA XLIM PRO 4 features an adjustable power output of 5-30W, however the maximum power is limited by the resistance of the coil being used.
So, with the included 0.6ohm OXVA ABT Cartridge, you have a maximum power of 25W at your disposal, and with the 0.8ohm cartridge (also included in the box), you won’t be able to vape past 16W.
If you enjoy pushing your pod systems to the limit, you’ll need to purchase the 0.4ohm pod to use the maximum 30W available on this device.
Anti-Burn, or ABT technology, works fantastically well in practice. Once the e-liquid level drops to virtually empty, the XLIM PRO 4 locks the power output so whenever I try to take a puff, it displays ‘Please Fill The Pod’ on-screen and stops the cotton in the coil from being scorched!
That is great for your lungs and also for your wallet too, as it can prolong the lifespan of your pod too. The technology is only available on the ABT XLIM cartridges.
With OXVA’s latest Super Pulse System, a consistent vape is delivered each and every time.
Rather than suffering a massive drop in performance as the battery depletes, this clever bit of tech regulates the power constantly.
It means that whether the device is fresh off the charger or flashing red on its last legs, your e-liquid is going to hit just as hard and taste just as punchy on your final puff as it did on the first!
As ever, ramp up time is instantaneous too. The moment I start taking a puff, the coil in the pod heats up instantly and delivers a full flavoured vape and satisfying nicotine hit!
Flavour
I consistently rate OXVA’s Top Fill Cartridges as some of the very best that money can buy, and the new ABT versions packing the latest Unitech 3.0 technology absolutely hit the spot and then some!
With both the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm cartridges, you get some of the best flavour delivery around, and this is delivered with a fantastically smooth draw that really brings out all the notes in my e-liquids.
I found that the 0.6ohm pod is best suited to an RDL vape or a loose MTL, and the 0.8ohm version provides an excellent MTL vape- perfect for high strength nicotine salt e-liquids.
These pods are seriously versatile- they excel with complex e-liquid blends but can handle pretty much anything that is thrown at them!
Pod Lifespan
I’ve been hammering OXVA’s XLIM Top Fill cartridges across various OXVA setups for a good while now, they are genuinely top of the food chain when it comes to coil life, and the ABT versions continue that trend!
Even when pushing those lower-resistance 0.6ohm pods for a warm RDL vape, they just keep going, and the Anti-Burn Technology stretches that lifespan out even further.
Less time swapping out burnt pods means more cash in your pocket and less plastic in the bin, which is always a massive bonus.
I’m consistently squeezing a solid week and a half to two weeks of heavy use out of a single cartridge before the flavour even thinks about dropping off—and that is huge for a pod system.
On the leak front? Absolutely bone dry.
You might get the odd speck of condensation under the base after a few days of chain vaping, but that is entirely normal for any pod kit and a quick swipe with a tissue sorts it right out.
Airflow
Whereas the XLIM PRO 3 boasted a horizontal airflow control, the XLIM PRO 4 reverts to a vertical version.
Dialling in your draw is handled by a vertical slider mounted on the edge of the device. The tension on this is absolutely spot on—smooth enough to tweak on the fly with a quick flick of your thumb, yet stiff enough that it won’t mysteriously readjust itself in your pocket!
The range covers a brilliant range, taking you from a proper cheek-pulling tight MTL right up to a loose RDL hit when pushed wide open.
Now, I love a solid RDL vape, especially when running the 0.6ohm pod, and the XLIM PRO 4 manages to dial in a draw that really hits the spot for me!
Battery Life
Packing a frankly massive 1800mAh cell under the hood, the XLIM Pro 4 has been turned into an absolute workhorse! Even when I am pushing those 0.6ohm ABT cartridges at a thirsty 25W for a warm RDL vape, the stamina here is excellent.
It takes a lot for me to trust a compact pod kit as my sole daily driver, but pulling this off the plug at the start of the day, I don’t even give battery life a second thought.
It easily sails through the entire day and the commute home without ever leaving me frantically hunting for a charging cable!

Final Verdict
OXVA had a massive job on their hands trying to top the sheer dominance of the XLIM series, but they’ve absolutely smashed it here!
Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, they’ve taken an already winning formula and refined it into one of the most complete, reliable pod systems on the market right now.
The standout upgrade is undoubtedly that frankly massive 1800mAh battery. Getting through an entire day without once having to pop the kit on for a quick charge is a huge win.
Combine that incredible stamina with the Super Pulse System, and you are getting a punchy, consistent vape right down to the very last drop of charge—no more limp, flavourless draws as the battery runs down.
The new ABT (Anti-Burn Tech) Cartridges are also a brilliant addition. Locking the power out right before the e-liquid runs dry to save the cotton is exactly the kind of smart, practical tech that saves you money and spares your throat!
Running the 0.6ohm pod with that vertical airflow slider opened up delivers an incredibly satisfying, warm restricted RDL vape, and it handles MTL vaping just as well with the 0.8ohm cartridge.
Is it completely perfect? Not quite. There is still a noticeable bit of side-to-side wobble with the magnetic pod seating, and if you put awkward pressure on the mouthpiece, it can occasionally lose connection for a split second. It’s a minor niggle, but one worth mentioning.
If you are already sitting on an older XLIM kit and wondering if it is worth making the jump, the upgraded battery life, intelligent power delivery, and that brilliant Anti-Burn Technology make this a highly recommended upgrade.
OXVA has set the bar incredibly high once again!
