We’re taking a look at the latest Voopoo device with Multi-Ohm Pod compatibility- the Voopoo Argus Z3!
Voopoo debuted their new Multi-Ohm Pods with the Argus G4 and Argus G4 Mini, offering the ability to switch between different resistances with the same pod, and the Argus Z3 is the latest member of the Argus Family to take advantage of this new technology.
It’s also the successor to the excellent Voopoo Argus Z2, which we reviewed back in early 2025.

What Can We Expect From The Voopoo Argus Z3?
Voopoo’s Argus Z3 is a lightweight and portable, lively and colorful entry-level pod system that is compatible with the industry-first Argus Multi-Ohm pods for an enjoyable and customizable draw!
The Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge is a revolutionary pod that integrates different coil resistances into one single pod, and when used alongside the Argus Z3 you can seamlessly switch between 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm resistances!
Powered by the upgraded iCOSM CODE 2.0, every draw is noticeably smoother with richer and more complex flavor profiles. That same technology incorporates a Liquid-Seal Shield, pushing the pod’s lifespan to an impressive 30 days.
Inside, the Mega Core coil guarantees a silky inhale, paired with heavy-duty Golden Cotton that easily stands up to high heat and endless top-ups without sacrificing an ounce of flavor.
And of course, the Argus Z3 has full compatibility with all pods in the Argus Pod Family!
Compared to the previous generation, which was the Argus Z2, the weight of the device has been reduced by 9.3g, achieving an 18.3% improvement in device lightness and a pod system that is even more pocket friendly than before.

Argus Multi-Ohm Pods Family
Alongside the Argus Z3, the Argus G4 and Argus G4 Mini are both part of the Argus Family and are compatible with the Argus Multi-Ohm Pods, and offer their own unique vaping experiences.
The Voopoo Argus G4 is a premium pod vaping system that stands out primarily for its innovative, industry-first Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge.
This unique technology allows users to seamlessly switch between three different coil resistances (0.4ohm, 0.7ohm, and 1.0ohm) using just a single pod by either rotating the cartridge or double-pressing the firing button.
Encased in a sleek, die-cast metal unibody with a high-end matte sandblasted finish, the device features a 0.85-inch HD display, stepless airflow adjustment, and a single-button interface that lets users dial in their preferred power output up to a maximum of 35W.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an upgraded 1650mAh high-density battery that Voopoo claims can last up to five days on a single charge, supported by 5V/2A fast charging that goes from flat to full in just 45 minutes.
The Argus G4 boasts excellent flavor production and versatility, as it accommodates everything from tight mouth-to-lung draws to airy restricted direct-lung hits.
Alongside the G4, there’s also the Argus G4 Mini—a simplified, screenless, and auto-draw version that retains the same massive battery and stepless airflow adjustment but is geared toward lower-power users by only supporting the 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm modes.

Design & Build Quality
The Voopoo Argus Z3 is a compact, pocket friendly pod system measuring 113mm x 27.6mm x 16.6mm and weighing a featherweight 41.6g, living up to its tag of being a lightweight and portable device.
Construction-wise, the main body is manufactured from PCTG with premium leather on the front and back of the device, and six finishes are available in Pearl White, Cyber Black, Blazing Orange, Denim Blue, Grass Green and Coral Pink.
I was sent the Blazing Orange version to review which really stands out thanks to the two tone color scheme, but I did have some reservations around the build quality- mainly that the PCTG body felt a bit too lightweight and cheap.
In terms of features, there’s a four-LED Energy Bar on the front of the device, used to display device information such as battery level and pod resistance, on the side is the USB-C charging port and at the rear is the stepless airflow adjustment.
Argus Multi-Ohm pods connect pretty strongly to the magnets at the top of the Argus Z3 device, and these hold the pod in place nicely. I didn’t experience any connection issues during use or find the pod to be too wobbly.
Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Pod
Conveniently designed, the location of the filling port allows you to top up the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge while it stays firmly attached to your device.
Keeping track of your juice is effortless thanks to the transparent housing of the pod. Whenever you run low on e-liquid, just peel back the upper silicone stopper.
The fill hole is wide enough to handle almost any e-liquid bottle with zero fuss—just be sure to leave a little air space at the top to avoid spills!
Crucially, if you are juicing up a fresh pod for the very first time, let it rest for about five minutes before taking a puff. This lets the cotton wick thoroughly absorb the liquid, saving you from a nasty burnt taste and making your pod last much longer.
Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge
Wondering how one pod does the work of two?
The secret to this multi-resistance capability lies in a complete overhaul of the Argus pod’s internal structure. Voopoo have integrated an innovative positive-negative-positive electrode layout.
So, by simply changing the pod’s physical orientation in the device, you can instantly switch between a 0.7-ohm and 1.0-ohm coil to accommodate different e-liquids and vaping preferences!
Operation
After you’ve filled your pod, its time to decide whether you are going to vape using the 0.7ohm or 1.0ohm resistance of the pod.
Handily, the resistance is marked on either side of the pod, on one side you’ve got 0.7ohm under the Voopoo logo, on the other is 1.0ohm under Argus.
Whichever one you choose, just ensure that this lines up with the Energy Bar on the front of the Argus Z3 and insert the pod.
The energy bar will light up blue if the 0.7ohm resistance is active, and green if its 1.0ohm resistance.
During use, each bar on the Energy Bar represents 25% battery, to give you a visual indicator on how much you have left.
An auto draw system is in use, so to vape just take a draw on the mouthpiece.
Charging
To charge the Argus Z3, plug one end of a USB-C charging cable into the charging port on the side of the device, and the other end into a suitable power outlet.
The location of the charging port means that you can stand the device up whilst you charge it, and the charging status is displayed on the energy bar.
It has 5V/1A charging, so it’s not the quickest to fully charge- expect charging times of 45 minutes to an hour depending on the power output from your charger.

How Does The Voopoo Argus Z3 Perform?
The headline act here is most definitely the Argus Multi-Ohm pod, as this provides vaping versatility by giving the option of vaping either at a 1.0ohm resistance or at a 0.7ohm resistance depending on the alignment of the pod.
Of course, the Argus Z3 is compatible with the Argus Pod Family, so you can take your pick from any of the Argus Pods if you want to experiment or don’t get on with the Argus Multi-Ohm pod.
If you vape MTL, then you are going to want to go for the 1.0ohm resistance, and those who prefer a looser draw will find that the 0.7ohm resistance suits them best.
Power output is 5-20W, but this is fixed and determined by the current resistance and the remaining battery level, as there’s no option for variable wattage here.
There is some drop off in the strength of the vape as the battery nears empty, but it’s not something that really bothered me and to be honest, it starts to happen around the time that I would normally pop a pod system back onto charge anyway!
flavor
Voopoo have built a solid reputation for squeezing incredible flavor out of their pods, and the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge absolutely upholds that legacy!
For my personal vaping style, the 0.7ohm setting is the clear winner. It produces a dense, delightfully warm vapour that ensures every single inhale is bursting with intense, rich flavor.
As a primarily RDL vaper, this suited me best alongside an open airflow setting.
That being said, the 1.0ohm option is no slouch either. MTL vapers benefit for a tighter and more concentrated draw, that really brings out the flavor in high strength nicotine e-liquids.
Pod Lifespan
The longevity of these pods is seriously impressive. I’ve been hammering the Argus Z3 for well over a week, running a whole variety of juices through the Argus Multi-Ohm Pod, and my original pod is still going strong without a single dip in flavor quality!
That means less pod waste and more money saved as you don’t need to replace your pod as often as you would with some other kits.
Airflow
The rear-mounted step-less airflow slider provides precise control over the draw resistance.
I can smoothly transition from a highly restricted mouth-to-lung (MTL) experience to an open, restricted direct-lung (RDL) draw, accommodating precise micro-adjustments anywhere across the airflow spectrum.
It matches the one found on the Argus G4, and is an excellent system that is easy to operate with one hand.
That being said, I did run into the same issue that I found with the Argus G4, which is that the location of the airflow does make it easy to cover it up at times.
I would quickly get a reminder to reposition my finger after an incredibly tight throat burner of a hit!
Battery Life
So, the capacity here is actually less than on the Argus Z2, with 1100mAh here compared to 1500mAh on the Z2.
This is marketed as having a ‘high-density’ battery however, though I’m not too fussed what the capacity is as long as my device can make it through a day!
Happily, I did find that the Argus Z3 is capable of providing a full days worth of battery regardless of whether the 0.7ohm or 1.0ohm resistance is at play, and you’ll eke slightly longer out of it with the 1.0ohm pod setting.

Final Verdict
The Voopoo Argus Z3 is a fantastic little entry-level addition to the Argus family, and the real star of the show here is undoubtedly that new Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge!
Having two distinct resistances packed into a single pod just by flipping it around is a brilliant bit of innovation, flawlessly catering to both MTL and RDL vapers alike. The flavor production is absolutely top-notch—especially on that warm, rich 0.7ohm setting—and the pod lifespan is seriously impressive, easily surviving over a week of heavy use without missing a beat.
It’s incredibly lightweight, completely pocket-friendly, and that 1100mAh battery comfortably powers through a full day of vaping.
It’s not entirely without its faults, though.
While the featherweight 41.6g design is great for portability, the PCTG body does feel a little on the cheap side, and you have to be mindful of how you hold the device so you don’t accidentally block that rear airflow slider and give yourself a harsh hit!
However, if you’re looking for an affordable, highly versatile pod system that delivers outstanding flavor and saves you money on replacement pods, the Argus Z3 is an absolute winner and well worth picking up!
Price-wise, you’ll struggle to do better at the price point the Argus Z3 is available for, as you can pick up an Argus Z3 for less than £10– a few online retailers are even bundling in a 10ml bottle of e-liquid to get you going.
That is serious value for money!
