The Uwell Yearn Pod System is a new closed system pod kit from Uwell who have brought us some beauties such as the Amulet Pod Watch, Crown 4 Kit and the Valyrian Sub Ohm tank.
I am hearing a lot of good about the Uwell Caliburn Pod System – which will be up for review here at Ecigclick soon – so could the Yearn follow in these huge footsteps?
In a short answer – No. This is a totally different type of kit which is targeting a different market entirely.
The Yearn kit seems to be after the Juul pod mod vapers – those who want pre-filled pods with high nicotine content. The description “Closed Pod Kit” basically means a tank which you cannot refill yourself.
Outside of the TPD regulated areas the pre-filled Yearn pods will be available in 50mg Nicotine Salt strengths. But obviously within TPD regulated areas you will be limited to 20mg nic salt strength.

So yeah this is possibly a Juul smasher, as mentioned above the pod where the e-liquid lives is pre-filled and you can choose from 4 flavours:
- Vanilla Tobacco
- Ice Mint
- Mango
- Fuji Apple
The pods contain the heating element (coil) which has a 1.4ohm resistance and the pods hold 1.5ml of e-liquid. Once empty you cannot refill and dispose of the pod and replace.
To keep the e-liquid inside nice and fresh the pods are sealed and will not expose the e-liquid to the elements until “activated” by pushing into the mod body.
The “mod” or battery part of the device has an internal 370mAh battery and to operate you install the pod and simply inhale. No buttons or adjustments to contend with.
There is an LED indicator to inform you of the battery capacity remaining and when the battery is low install the supplied USB cable to recharge with a suitable USB outlet.
There are 4 colours to choose from: Black, Black & Violet, Grey and Black & Blue.
