What To Expect From The VapX Art Kit…
The kit takes the form of a tiny pod kit plus a portable charging case, similar to the Vaptio AirGo, Uwell Tripod and the Uwell Marsupod.
There are 3 main components – the mod (or device battery), the pod (which fits on the mod) and a charging case.
The mod only has a small battery capacity of 300mAh which might sound annoyingly small, but if you carry it around in the included charging case when you pop the mod in it will charge up the battery for you when in transit.
This is the most simple of pod mods with no buttons or adjustments – simply inhale on the mouthpiece and the air sensor will trigger the device to fire.
One thing I am not sure of is whether there is any indicator on the mod to display the battery capacity remaining or any error conditions – I hope so!
On to the mod you install the pod – you get 2 of these pods in the kit and they have a 1.2ohm fixed coil. These should be simple to use as when the coil performance has deteriorated over time – you simply discard the pod and replace with a new one. VapX say the pod life is approximately 7-12 refills.
The pod will hold up to 1.4ml of your own e-liquid and the spare pod will also fit in your charging case for when out and about.
The cleverest part of this kit is the charging case which is full of gizmos!
Firstly it will charge up the mod, the case has a 800mAh internal battery which can be charged in as little as 10 minutes via the USB Type C port using the fast charging protocols (PD3/2, QC3/2)
On the side of the charging case are LED indicators to inform of the charge remaining.
One of the big marketing features of this kit is super cleanliness!
Inside the charging case is also a UV sterilisation system which emits a 10 second burst of UV when the mod is inserted and the lid closed on the case.
The pods also feature an anti-microbial food grade steel mouthpiece which offers mould, fungus, bacteria and viral protection.
There are 3 colour options to choose from: Panda Black, Maple Leaf Red and Midnight Green.
