Given my body is showing the signs of 59+ years on this planet, I need all the help I can get, so was VERY interested in trying the CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream.
I recently reviewed the CBD Asylum Muscle Rub and found that it worked very well indeed on my strained thigh – a hiking injury following a slip on a hill in the mud.
That gave me relief for sure, and still does, however it’s my joints, particularly my knees, feet and hands – the latter from writing professionally for decades that need attention. 20 years using an old style typewriter has certainly not helped, though man do I miss using them – especially the sound 🙂
CBDfx state this one’s designed for both muscle and joints, and given on bad days the real leaf you can vape or smoke, delivers almost immediate relief, I’m hoping the CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream will do the same.
What Can We Expect From the CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream?
Pain relief is the obvious answer…
The CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream is obviously CBD based and comes in x2 strengths 1000mg and the 500mg I received.
It is vegan friendly containing many natural ingredients including White Willow Bark. This has been used for centuries as pain relief, Hippocrates swore by it. There’s also caffeine and menthol – well known as a soothing agent.
Incidentally White Willow Bark is known as ‘nature’s aspirin‘ and given I’m allergic to that drug, I’m hoping it will have the desired effect and without the side-effects.
OK, CBD is derived from the cannabis plant, however the ingredient that gets users high – THC – has been removed, therefore users cannot get high whichever way they take CBD, nor can they overdose.
CBD is perfectly legal here in the UK – please check local laws before using…though I guess if it’s on sale in a health shop, you’ll be good to go 😉
Technically I’m unable to say IF any CBD products work for me – what I can say is I’ve been using products for years now and haven’t stopped if you catch my drift…

I Say:
I could definitely do with a rub down – form a queue ladies lol.
I’m averaging around 50 miles per week as a hiker, and given the trails at the moment are muddy and slippery – the air is damp and it’s bloody cold, I’m picking up a lot of muscle strains.
Add to that old age, meaning my feet, knees, elbows, shoulders and in particular lately, my hands, are showing signs of 6 decades of ‘use‘ – AND I can’t use most over the counter Chemist products, I need some relief [ooer].
I have been using the CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream as my only topical for the past month – particularly on my knees and hands.
It smells bloody lovely and reminds me a little of the Liniment rubbing oils I used to apply liberally before playing football or rugby…I can smell the changing room now, boy did it make your eyes water ha!
It rubs into the skin extremely quickly and there’s no sticky residue, just a lovely long lasting fresh menthol aroma – they should bottle it as an aftershave 😉

I reckon it might be the 500mg CBD strength, because rubbing this into my calf muscles and then my sore right thigh, the relief was palpable.
Not quite instant but within a minute I could feel the pain subside and that cooling effect of the willow and menthol really added to the sensation…
I brought up the subject of CBD strength as the other CBD muscle rub I used was only 100mg – this one being 500mg certainly means – for me at least – the relief was extremely measurable.

Much to the merriment of site admin Jonny – I’ve developed ‘mouse hand‘ and bloody painful it is too!
In fact he was so ‘concerned‘ at my suffering ‘Dr‘ Jonny Googled it to see if he could offer advice…needless to say the smutty 8-year-old schoolboy humour broke to the surface and ‘mouse dick‘ was mentioned… *sighs*
Nothing but caring is our Jonny hahaha!
Anyway, lol, I’m not sure if CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream helps with mouse dick…however the pain in my right mouse hand become increasingly worsened as this week has worn on. I doubt it’s over use given I’ve been ‘resting it‘ – as in slacking lol – but trust me if you’ve had it – you know…it’s bloody sore!
I began using the CBDfx Muscle and Joint Cream when I remembered I had it in my cupboard – the review was pretty much done by then lol.
So two days later and applying it liberally and regularly – is it having any effect?
Not so much on my affected hand if I’m honest, but I have used it on my left and can definitely feel an improvement in stiffness…yeah fill in your own jokes lol.
My knees certainly feel more supple after the month of use that’s for sure…I just wonder if the stronger cream may help with the ingrained pain from the ‘mouse hand?’
Final Review Verdict
I like it!
There’s definitely a marked improvement in muscle aches and my joints [apart from my mouse hand] are certainly feeling the benefits.
Despite White Willow Bark being associated with aspirin – I’ve had NO side effects which for me is bloody brilliant!
Yeah, I still make the odd groan when I stand up or get out of bed, but definitely not as much. I reckon if I had a ‘friend‘ that could apply it to parts I can’t reach…ooer…it might help even more, especially added to the CBD Tinctures and CBDfx vape juice I use.
I have a feeling that a bloke as large as me might need the stronger dose – so take that in mind when ordering.
