Today I’m going to be taking a look at the Geekvape E100i kit!

This is a new pod mod that has the classic Aegis IP68 rating and runs on an internal 3000mAh battery.

Founded in 2015 Geekvape are based in Shenzhen China.

Geekvape as a company has produced many kits over the years, certainly far too many products to list here. However their Aegis product line is indisputably their most popular range!

The mod will fire up to 100W with its internal 3000mAh battery and takes full advantage of its chipset AS-CHIP 3.0 that is very versatile with its output modes.

The standard kit comes complete with a 4.5ml top fill pod tank.

Geekvape E100i Design and Build Quality

I was sent the standard Black version of the kit. It came presented well in a card box with a paper cover.

The extras that come with this kit aren’t really remarkable: A spare coil, USB type C charge cable and a few O-rings for the pod tank.

The kit I am reviewing here has a non-replaceable battery, however, there is also available a version they call the E100 which has a replaceable 18650 battery capability.

Eteno Pod Tank

Let’s start with a quick look at the Eteno pod tank – this tank is made from Stainless Steel, Plastic and Delrin. The tank measures approximately 45mm in height and has a liquid capacity of 4.5 ml.

The tank is one piece with the only parts removable being the mouthpiece, ¼ turn fill cap and of course the coil.

Starting at the top, the tank has a Delrin 810 mouthpiece.

The removable stainless steel fill cap is a ¼ turn, which makes the tank very easy to fill.

The cap as you see has 2 embedded o-rings, 1 O-ring keeps the mouthpiece stable and on the reverse side of the cap is another this is for leak prevention around the inside of the cap!

The tank has 2 wide kidney-shaped fill ports.

The Eteno pod tank is compatible with the Geekvape P Series of coils and comes with 2 coils to get you started.

  • 0.2Ω, 60-70W (installed)
  • 0.4Ω 50-60W

The base of this tank is magnetic and seats firmly in the E100i device.

Geekvape E100i Device

This device has a measurement of less than 95mm without the pod tank installed. This is a slim mod, the width is only 33mm.

As normal for this type of device it has a pod bay that consists of a raised metal rail for the magnetic pod tank to attach to and to help facilitate airflow to the pod tank. The bay has 2 gold-plated spring-loaded connection pins.

The main chassis of the device is made of Zinc Alloy and is covered by a thick Ingress-protected Rubber coating with a rating of 6.8 (IP68).

Very much like other Aegis products released recently, this one has an A-lock (a manual locking switch). It also bares the Aegis trademark metal protection frame that has been stamped with “Geekvape” on both sides of the frame!

The back of the mod is comfortably padded with faux leather.

On the bottom of the E100i Geekvape has engraved the metal battery cover with all the normal safety marks and design information.

E100i Workface

Includes the normal fire button and the adjustment buttons are in the style of a rocker these are all made of plastic. The mod has a Type C port that charges the internal 3000mAh battery.

And a nice 1.06” TFT colour screen that shows all the normal info you’d expect to see including –

  • Various power modes
  • Dual battery bar
  • Wattage/ TC adjustment
  • Resistance reader
  • Voltage output meter
  • Puff counter
  • Last puff timer

The E100i chipset is the AS-Chip 3 which is powerful and complements all the complex modes this device has.

Geekvape E100i Kit Quick Start Guide

This time I will be using the pre-installed 0.2Ω P coil and my liquid choice this time around is Padstow Blends “Lemon Cheesecake.

Ensure that your E100i is fully charged before first use.

Geekvape E100i – Basic Operation

  • Turning on and off – click the fire button x5 rapidly
  • Changing screen colours ~ press the fire button x3 times and then both adjustment buttons together, there are 5 colours to choose from
  • Resetting the puff count ~ press the fire button x3, press the fire button to toggle the cursor and select puff, and press – to clear the value.
  • Power output modes ~ press the fire button x3, and use the + and – to scroll the options ~ Boosting, VW (Variable Wattage), TC (Temperature Control)-Ni/Ti/SS, TCR, VPC (Variable Power Curves) and BYPASS.

Geekvape Eteno Pod Tank

Choose one of the coils that came with the kit.

  • Prime the coil with a few drops of e-liquid on all visible cotton
  • Push the coil into the tank
  • Unscrew the top cap and fill the pod tank with your e-liquid

Place the Eteno pod tank into the pod bay of the device and leave the mod alone for around 3 minutes so the coil can soak up more liquid – Enjoy!

How Does the Geekvape E100i Kit Perform?

Although this would make a great all-day vape, for me this mod is more of a 2nd carry around device.

It’s low in weight and small enough in stature to be kept in the pocket of my bag.

Its functions are very similar to Geekvape L200 although it’s not as powerful it does have the same chipset, with a great delivery of vapour and flavour.

I have been using the 0.2Ω P coil in the pod tank and the coil is rated at 60 to 70W!

Starting with a low 30W for a few toots to bed the coil in, I then took the wattage to 55W in 0.5W increments for a more than adequate vape that had good flavour and a very decent vapour production!

I haven’t had any leaks from the Eteno tank in the time I have been testing the unit, apart from a little of the expected condensation in the bay!

Every time I get a new pod mod whatever the brand, I try to find out if any of my other pod tanks are compatible with the device.

This time I can report that both of the Voopoo PNP and TPP pods fit and work well with this device, they do sit more into the pod bay than the Eteno tank.

I look at this compatibility as being another option or replacement for the Eteno tank incase anything untoward should happen!

IP68 Testing

The IP68 Rubber covering of this device – while the covering is thick and very comfortable in my hand, I was more than worried I would bugger the device up by doing my normal water tests due to the open USB port!

However my worry was unfounded, I dropped the mod sans the pod tank into a tub of water for 15 minutes, with no adverse reaction to the function of the E100i! It even fired up under the water! I did however, make sure the unit was completely dry before I needed to charge the mod again!

I tested the shockproofing by dropping the device, again without the pod tank from waist height 3 times onto my stone carport.

After the drop test, I found no damage to any part of the mod, so I call this test a success!

Pros

  • Great quality and design
  • Good flavour
  • Great vapour production
  • IP68 Rated, dust/water and shockproof
  • Fast and consistent firing
  • A-lock

Cons

I have no concerns at all with the Geekvape E100i

Final Review Verdict

A great reliable durable small IP68 device,

I have been using the Geekvape E100i for nearly a month and would recommend it wholeheartedly!

I prefer much larger heaver devices and would class this one as a 2nd carry around however, it was easy to operate and maintain giving me a fast fire and a smooth draw with a good flavour and great vapour production.

I’d recommend this product to those that are looking to trade up or to those looking to give up the dreaded disposables in favour of a cheaper option!

Truth be told, I didn’t find anything wrong with this kit and I would buy it, if I didn’t have dozens of kits just like it!

Hi my name is Kevin, I started vaping back in 2009 mainly because my little boy at 3 years old was starting to copy the way daddy smoked a cigarette! Over the years I have gained a good amount of experience with different types of vaping hardware but I'm just a normal guy who enjoys sharing my experiences. This is why I started my Youtube vape review channel in 2014. To date the channel has had over 500,000 views. Being disabled, vaping has given me a gateway to meeting people from all different walks of life, many of those I would not have met under other circumstances. The way I look at my reviews is, if I can convince just one person to give up the stinky’s my job is done. I class myself as a tinkerer as I like to take things apart to see how they work and put them back together, yes that includes e-cigarette mods! One day I would like to be able to design my own mod. I am a dedicated father, and husband to my sweetheart of nearly 30 years! Family to me comes before anything else.

  1. With The usb-c port being open like that i would’ve been a tad worried about how well it can withstand the water test, good to see it held up well. I think having the whole mod wrapped in rubber can be a bit weird sometimes but it looks like they have done a decent job with this one. Well done Geekvape.
