OXVA are back with a couple of updates to their excellent NeXLIM range, and we are taking a look at one of those today with the OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini!
The other update to the range is the OXVA NeXLIM 2, which I will cover in a separate review…
I’m really excited to get my hands on both the NeXLIM 2 and NeXLIM 2 Mini as the original NeXLIM and NeXLIM GO are two of my all time favourite pod vapes, so I’m keen to see what upgrades OXVA have made!
What Can We Expect From The OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini?
OXVA’s NeXLIM 2 Mini has been designed to be a small form factor vaping kit that delivers top level performance in a pocket friendly device.
You’ve got compatibility here with the excellent NeXLIM refillable pods, which are so good that we have given them their own separate review!
NeXLIM pods supplied with the NeXLIM 2 Mini are the new, upgraded versions featuring the latest version of OXVA’s patented Unitech 3.0 architecture, NeXLIM pods elevate the standard of everyday vaping.
Inside sits a precision-engineered, next-generation dual mesh coil suspended in a five-layer cotton matrix—a combination designed for instant e-liquid saturation and hyper-efficient heating, and a triple layered design making the pod leak-proof.
The result is pure, uncompromised flavour, dense vapour, and a promise: zero leaks, from the first draw to the last!
And a 1500mAh built in battery will keep you enjoying the excellent flavour produced by the NeXLIM pods without any battery anxiety, with Type-C 5V/2A fast charging recharging your battery in less than an hour.
There’s also an LED light indicator on the front of the NeXLIM 2 Mini allowing you to easily keep track of battery level at a glance.
With adjustable airflow, you can adjust the draw to suit your own vaping preference, delivering mouth-to-lung (MTL) or restricted direct lung (RDL) hits with absolute ease.
You can also switch between two different power modes with ease and benefit from up to 30W of output power, thanks to the integrated touch control allowing you to change between Eco and Boost modes with a quick couple of taps!
Many thanks to OXVA for sending the NeXLIM 2 Mini in for review, let’s check out what it has to offer!
And as always, all views are my own…

Design & Build Quality
The OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini measures in at 113.5mm x 28.5mm x 18mm and weighs 59g, putting it on the larger side of the ‘Mini’ vaping devices out there, but size wise, it is actually smaller than the NeXLIM GO, which was the ‘Mini’ version of the original NeXLIM!
I feel that the Mini in the name refers to the fact that it is a ‘stripped down’ version of the NeXLIM 2 without the screen and customisation options, making it appeal to users who just want a ‘pick up and play’ vaping option.

As is customary with OXVA devices, there are a large selection of different designs to pick from.
You have Classic Black, Titanium Gray, Navy Blue, Solar Gold, Mist Purple, Sakura Pink, Aurora Blue, Mint Green and a special, limited edition Golden Hour version.
Football fans are also going to love the World Cup-inspired Golden Hour version, featuring a beautiful gradient gold design with hexagonal panels on it that do look similar to a football, making this kit a great companion to watch the games with!
Even though this is the ‘Mini’ version of the full-fat NeXLIM 2, OXVA haven’t scrimped on the build quality.
The NeXLIM 2 Mini features a premium aluminium build using aerospace-grade materials, and the device has been machined beautifully to not only look stunning, but sit comfortably in hand too.
I have no complaints in this area at all and this has stood up to heavy usage with not a scratch to be seen on the finish!
Feature-wise, there’s an LED indicator that lights up when you vape and allows you to check the battery status at a glance, a touch control at the side next to the Type-C charging port and an adjustable airflow control.
I’ll cover these features in more depth further on in the review.
A magnetic connection keeps the NeXLIM pods firmly secured to the pod, and thanks to the strength of the magnets I never once had any connection issues with the device.
NeXLIM pods feature a 2ml or 4ml capacity depending on which market you purchase it in, and have a handy transparent design that allows you to see the full capacity of the pod, this is a favourite feature of mine as you can then easily see when it is time to refill!
Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Pod
In practice, refilling the NeXLIM pods is a total breeze!

A quick word of warning from my own testing, though: don’t try to fill it 100% to the brim.
If you trap the air in there, the juice will burp right back out onto your kit. Leave a tiny air bubble at the top.
Oh, and standard pod rules apply: when you crack open a fresh one, give it a solid five minutes to soak before taking a hit so you don’t torch the cotton in the coil!
Operation
As the OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini features an auto draw system, it is an easy device to get to grips with, as you can just fill the pod (using the steps above!) and draw on it to vape! You don’t need to mess around with any power settings here.
Though, that being said, you can switch between Eco and Boost modes simply by double tapping the touch button on the side of the kit.
I have found myself accidentally switching between the two settings when absent-mindedly tapping away on my device!
On the front of the device is a convenient tri-colour LED battery indicator, which displays your remaining battery life. If it shows green, then there is 65-100% remaining, blue is 30-65% and red is 0-30%.
Charging
On the side of the NeXLIM 2 Mini is the Type-C charging port, and there is 5V/2A fast charging here, allowing you to charge up to 80% in less than 30 minutes, ideal if you are in a bit of bind!
This does charge pretty speedily considering the size of the internal battery, and I was getting a full charge in around 50-55 minutes!
Safety Features
- 8 second vaping overtime protection
- High temperature protection
- Low battery protection
- Short circuit protection
How Does The OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini Perform?
The OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini is capable of up to a 30W power output, which is more than enough for most users!
You can switch between Eco and Boost modes, which give you two different outputs. Eco mode will restrict the power output, producing a more subtle and cooler vaper, which also results in increased battery life.
Boost mode fully maximises the power output available, but this is relative to the resistance of the coil that you are using and the remaining battery life.
The supplied 0.8ohm pod can take advantage of this, as can the 0.6ohm pod which is available with the NeXLIM 2 and also to purchase separately.
The 0.8ohm pod has a power range of 14-18W in eco mode and 28-30W in boost mode, whereas the 0.6ohm pod will operate at 20-25W in eco mode and the maximum 30W in boost.
There’s also a 1.2ohm NeXLIM Cartridge available separately, the NeXLIM 2 Mini will provide 10-13W to this in eco mode and 20-25W in power mode.
Flavour
With the included 0.8ohm NeXLIM Cartridge, you are getting a pod that is versatile enough to handle both MTL and RDL vaping.

MTL vaping is best used with eco mode, providing a cooler, less-intensive vape.
For RDL vaping, you are obviously going to want to switch to boost mode, providing a warm and full on draw.
What I’ve noticed here, with the updated pods featuring the Unitech 3.0 technology, is that the flavour delivery is somehow even smoother compared to the last-gen pods, and this really does deliver a truly out of this world vaping experience!
Pod Lifespan
One of the key changes here with the latest iteration of NeXLIM pods is the move to Unitech 3.0 technology, which alongside increased flavour smoothness delivers a three-fold anti-leak design.
And as I expected, this does exactly what it says on the tin too, during my time using the NeXLIM 2 Mini I did not experience a single leak from the pod at all, only the tiniest drop of condensation to wipe off after about four days of solid use!
The lifespan of the pods seems to have increased as well, as I am still on my original 0.8ohm NeXLIM Cartridge at the time of writing, and I have been using this heavily for over a week now!
Airflow
The NeXLIM 2 Mini has a precise airflow control located on the side of the device, which I found easy to adjust in practice.
I can tighten the draw right down for a tight MTL which is ideal for high strength nicotine salt based e-liquid, or if I want to open it up for a more powerful RDL and let off some clouds I can do that by easily sliding the airflow control!
Battery Life
The NeXLIM 2 Mini boasts a huge 1500mAh battery which easily got me through a whole days worth of heavy vaping and then some in boost mode!
I would usually only need to charge this up towards the end of my second day. Most regular vapers can expect even longer lasting battery life here!
I did notice that switching to eco mode didn’t make a huge amount of difference to the battery life, I only seemed to get an extra couple of hours.
Pros
- Exceptional flavour quality
- Leakproof and long lasting pods
- Rock solid build quality
- RDL and MTL vaping options
- Easy pick up and play vaping device
- Top, budget friendly refillable vaping kit
Cons
- Verging on the larger side for a ‘mini’ device!
- Eco mode doesn’t seem to have too much of an effect on battery life
- Easy to accidentally double tap the touch control!
Final Verdict
Don’t let the “Mini” moniker fool you here!
While OXVA has stripped away the OLED screen and the adjustable options of the full-fat NeXLIM 2, what you’re left with is the ultimate “pick up and play” device- a kit that offers the elite flavour of a complex pod mod with no complex set up needed, and a monster of a 1500mAh built-in battery!
The star of the show is undeniably the NeXLIM Cartridges with Unitech 3.0 pod technology. The flavour off the 0.8ohm mesh coil isn’t just strong, it is noticeably smoother than the previous generation, and the “leak-proof” marketing actually holds up to real-world scrutiny.
When you combine a truly mess-free side-fill with a battery that routinely pushes into day two of heavy vaping, you get a device that simply doesn’t let you down!
Now, the NeXLIM 2 Mini is a pod system that is primarily aimed at vapers that want a simple, pick up and play vaping device without the customisation options, if you are wanting a more full-fat, user customisable pod kit then check out our NeXLIM 2 Review!
So, if you just want top-tier flavour, a rock-solid aerospace aluminum build, and a battery you only have to think about every 48 hours, the OXVA NeXLIM 2 Mini is an instant daily-driver!
