The Provacan CBD pod kit comes from a UK based company and it’s fair to say this could be classed as ‘high end’.
What I mean by that is not only the price – which I shall of course get too – but also the packaging and indeed the very professional website.
Unlike many CBD companies out there, Provacan looks to be going down the clean and crisp ‘medical style’ route.
The white and green packaging really does give the range that professional look.
Provacan works in partnership with UK based cannabis research firm CiiTECH and Israel’s Hebrew University of Jerusalem – which they say is the epicenter of cannabis research and development and Kanabo the company behind the CBD vape pen.
So a good pedigree to say the least.
The company sells a variety of CBD products including oils, edibles, topical creams and capsules.
What Can We Expect From the Provacan CBD Pod Kit?
Given there’s no PG or VG I guess this is as close to pure CBD ‘e-liquid’ as you can get.
Indeed the ingredients in the pods is are listed as: CBD (250mg), CBG, other cannabinoids, Ocimene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Beta-Pinene, other terpenes.
There’s just two sealed pods, a Night and Day variety which fit onto the proprietary pen style battery.
The kit is a simple as it gets to use, simply pop the pod into the battery and the magnetic connection holds it in place.
There’s no fire button as it’s draw controlled, there’s an automatic cutoff of about 2 seconds vape time, and the battery has haptic control – or it vibrates when you vape in simple terms.
Provacan say they also use a very different extraction process to many companies:
We use supercritical CO2 extraction equipment to “pull” the active CBD (as well as terpenes and other cannabinoids) from the organic hemp plants; this allows us to maximize the cannabidiol content, while providing the user with a 100% natural, solventless end product.
While other companies incorporate the use of harsh alcohol-based compounds to extract the CBD, we strive to maintain the purity of the plants by avoiding the addition of as many “unnatural” processes as possible.
In implementing its intermediate properties between a gas and a liquid state, supercritical CO2 allows the cannabidiol to be extracted from the leaves and flowers of the plant without being exposed to extreme temperatures or pressures.
This ensures that the active compounds “emerge” from the extraction process with minimal denaturation, and is one of the reasons we can say with 100% confidence that Provacan offers the best UK CBD oil for sale.
OK, I was sent the VapePod device and the Night and Day pods free of charge direct from Provacan for the purpose of this review – thank you.
As always my thoughts and opinions are not swayed by freebies.
For the record: CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is what’s left when the active ingredient that makes a user ‘high’ – Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC – is removed from the cannabis or hemp plant.
I have much more information in the articles linked below:
BTW, I won’t bother with an ‘Inside the Box’ – you have to buy the battery separately and that’s all you get in the box apart from a small charge cable and instruction leaflet.
It’s the same with the pods – both bought separately and just an instruction manual in the posh button opening boxes.
Right, on with the review.
Provacan CBD Day Pod – 55% [Approx 250mg]
The Day Pod is specifically formulated for morning and daytime use.
Our daytime targeted formulation contains a complete range of hemp phytocompounds.
This includes a range of terpenes and other hemp-based non-psychoactive cannabinoids (including CBD and CBG).
All of our CBD vape oil cartridges for sale in the UK are made with industry-leading Provacan quality.
Despite those earthy herbal tasting terpenes, this is actually a very smooth vape indeed.
There is the slightest tickle at the back of the throat but nothing too harsh at all.
There’s absolutely no sweeteners or additives to these pods – however the terpene taste isn’t as ‘bitter’ as some out there.
Indeed I found this one very palatable indeed despite preferring the harsh natural punch of other brands I’ve tried.
The CBD strains have been chosen to give users a jump-start to their day – rather than to mellow them out.
So does it work?
I’ve had a lot of CBD e-liquid in for review recently so my body is packed with the stuff.
Plus I’m not a medical practitioner and legally can’t really comment on ‘if it does what it says on the box’.
What I can say is if you often feel sluggish in the mornings – this may give you the boost you need 😉
Provacan CBD Night Pod – 55% [Approx 250mg]
Night VapePod formulation offers calm and relaxation that comes as a welcome benefit prior to bed.
So what makes the Night CBD Terpene VapePod unique?
Well, terpenes are a natural component of hemp (as well as many kinds of fruits), but we have specifically formulated our Night VapePod with the terpenes Myrcene, Linalool, and Allo-Ocimene (among others).
These terpenes specifically are known to help promote a sense of calm and relaxation, which of course are crucial components to obtaining a solid, healthy night’s sleep.
And of course, all of our vape oil cartridges for sale in the UK are entirely THC-free.
These are troubling times, especially if you have any mental health issues.
Difficulty to sleep has been a long time bug bear of mine so I was extremely interested in the Night Pod.
It might be my mind playing tricks but there is a difference in flavours.
The Night Pod actually tastes a touch sweeter – only a smidgen and very natural.
Again it’s very smooth indeed with a slight tickle to the tonsils and an almost minty [only slight] taste on the exhale.
As to if it’s helped with my chronic sleeplessness lately?
As I’ve said, I am pretty topped up to the gills with CBD these days, but yeah I certainly felt as if I dropped off quicker than usual…allegedly 😉
However, and given my night terrors etc are deeply entrenched – I might need to get more into my system than just a couple of weeks of use.
Final Review Verdict
The Provacan CBD vape pod kit is expensive, with the 5ml pods alone at £49.99 each!
As to the cost of the actual device – it’s a crazy price in this day and age!
Sure Provacan says it’s:
…a robust, elegant design and unrivaled vaping performance.
And yes it is a nice looking piece of kit – that vibrates lol.
And they add the design:
…minimises overheating, optimises vape oil saturation, improves cross-sectional area, enhances vape flow, and lowers oil viscosity via radial heat.
All very technical, but as someone that’s reviewed many pen style vape batteries, all MUCH cheaper, a lot of that a still smells of marketing – not a bad thing I guess.
However established vapers and those using more wallet friendly CBD kits, may have a wry smile on their faces reading the blurbs.
OK, let me be blunt, then Provacan vape pen is IMHO, ridiculously overpriced at £99 – yeah you heard that right – £99!!!
I guess without the PG or VG, you are technically getting more CBD for your buck, but bloody hell the Provacan CBD pod kit range is going to be hard – VERY hard on your wallet.
Of course cost is subjective, but given I’ve reviewed A LOT of CBD products- including the impressive CBD Vape Shots – many if not all are coming down in price – still pricey for sure – but slowly getting more affordable.
As I said at the start, the Provacan CBD vape pods are designed to look almost medical in appearance, they do indeed look good and those pod boxes are very fancy with the child safe push button release.
There’s no doubting the whole brand has a professional look to it, looking more at home on chemist shelves, wholefood or new age alternative medicine stores than vape shops.
And those 5ml pods won’t last for ever – used correctly I reckon about monthish for each one…
So, if you’ve got the cash then I wouldn’t stop you splashing out, but remember for the x2 pods and battery you’ll be looking at nearly £200…
