What Can We Expect From The Voopoo Argus G4?
Voopoo are innovating with the Argus G4 as this provides an entirely new vaping experience with a new, industry first…
This comes from the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge, which makes its debut alongside the Argus G4. This revolutionary pod integrates three different coil resistances into one pod, with seamless switching between 0.4ohm, 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm!
A new form factor delivers a variety of vaping sensations all from a single pod, with iCOSM CODE 2.0 technology ensuring that every single puff is smoother and the flavours are more varied.

At its heart lies the Mega Core coil, engineered for an exceptionally smooth draw, while the ultra-durable Golden Cotton wicking effortlessly handles high temperatures and constant refills without compromising flavour!
An 18650mAh High-Density Battery is built into the Argus G4, and this is Voopoo’s all-new upgraded battery. From a single full charge you can expect up to five days worth of vaping, making it longer lasting and more durable than the Argus G3 battery.

Design and Build Quality
On first impressions I can definitely tell that this is an Argus pod system, it retains design cues from previous Argus devices such as the Argus G3- but refines the Argus look for 2026!
It measures in at 121.27mm x 27.6mm x 16.6mm, making it just the right size for my hand and easy to slip into my pocket. 8 minimalist styles are available, with Silver, Gray, Green, Orange, Purple, Brown, Blue and Black finishes available at launch.
I’ve found absolutely no fault at all with the build quality here, everything feels like it has been machined extraordinarily well with no sharp edges present on the device and a lovely hand feel to it!
The Argus G4 is the first vaping device in the industry to feature a zircon sand blasting process on the finish, to provide a refined, matte finish. I can confirm that the Argus G4 has a real high-end device feel to it as a result, it’s a device that I love to hold!
Standing out on the front of the device is a 0.85″ HD screen, which is bright and clear, displaying the battery level, output power, coil resistance, lock/unlock status and the puff count at a glance.

The cartridges have either a 2ml or 3.5ml capacity depending on whether you have the TPD version or not, and are top filled.
Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Pod
Handily, thanks to the location of the filling port, you can fill your Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge up without needing to remove the pod from the device!
When it’s time for a top-up, simply lift the silicone plug located near the top edge. The generously sized fill port accommodates almost any bottle nozzle with ease. Just insert the tip and fill, being careful not to overfill to prevent messy leaks.
When filling a brand-new Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge for the first time, always let the liquid sit for at least five minutes before vaping. This gives the internal cotton enough time to fully saturate, extending the pod’s lifespan and protecting you from harsh, burnt hits.
ARGUS Multi-Ohm Cartridge
So, how does all this multi-ohm magic work with a single pod?
Voopoo have completely re-engineered the internal architecture of an Argus pod to utilize a unique three-electrode setup (positive-negative-positive).
Simply by rotating the pod, you can seamlessly alternate between 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm coil resistances to suit different vaping styles and e-liquids. The screen will handily display what resistance is currently selected.
For a high-performance boost, double-pressing the firing button activates both positive pins simultaneously.
This engages the dual heating elements at the same time, dropping the overall resistance to 0.4ohm- however this only works with the Argus G4 and not the Argus G4 Mini!
Operation
On the side of the device is the power button, and this is responsible for the functions on the Argus G4 device!
- To turn the Argus G4 on, quickly press the power button five times.
- Whilst the device is on, quick pressing the power button five times takes you into the menu.
- Within the menu, you can find options to power the Argus G4 off, change the theme, clear the puff counter, lock or unlock the power button and screen.
- A short press of the power button cycles through the options and a long press is used to confirm your selection.
- A long press of the power button whilst on the home screen will bring up the tips menu to show you how to use the Argus G4.
- Double clicking the power button allows you to adjust the wattage, click the button to cycle through the available outputs and take a puff to confirm your selection.
You can use the included Type-C charging cable to link your Argus G4 up to your computer and download the latest software updates from Voopoo’s website!
Charging
A Type-C charging port is included in the kit, and by connecting this to your device and a suitable power output, you can take advantage of 5V/2A fast charging.

Voopoo Argus G4 Mini
Launching alongside the Argus G4 is the Argus G4 Mini, which offers a more simplified experience with the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge!
This is a cut-down version of the Argus G4, boasting the same design DNA as its bigger sibling, but offering a simplified auto-draw vaping experience with no screen present on the device.
As it doesn’t have an adjustable power output, the 0.4ohm function is not available on the Argus G4 Mini when using the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge, making this a device for lower-power users as only the 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm options are available for use here.
It has the same stepless airflow adjustment as the Argus G4 however!
How Does The Voopoo Argus G4 Perform?
Well, performance here is mainly driven by the new Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge, which is certainly a technology I hadn’t encountered before!
I have explained how this works above, but what it essentially boils down to is that you have three resistances available to you in one pod- saving you from having to purchase different pods to suit your own style of vaping!
The Argus G4 is also compatible with the whole Argus Pod Family, which boasts excellent pods such as the Argus Top Fill Cartridge V2!
This is a bonus if you have spare Argus pods lying around…
Power-wise, there’s all you need in a pod vape system here, as you have the ability to adjust the wattage output from 5-35W.
You can only use the maximum 35W output with the 0.4ohm option on the Argus multi-ohm cartridge, the 0.7ohm option is limited to 18W and the 1.0ohm option restricts you to 14W.
Flavour
Voopoo have always been a market leader at extracting great flavour from their pods and this continues with the Argus Multi-Ohm cartridge!
My personal preference is the 0.4ohm mode, as this suits my vaping style, delivering a warm and rich vape packed full of flavour in every puff.
I did find that I needed to run it at the 35W maximum to get the most out of it though, as the flavour felt a bit washed out below this.
The 0.7ohm option provides a slightly cooler vape, that still boasts plenty of flavour, and the 1.0ohm option is for intense, high-nicotine vaping sessions.
Pod Lifespan
I can’t fault the lifespan of the pods here, I have been using the Argus G4 intensively for over a week now with a range of different e-liquids and I am still on the same pod I started off with, and there’s not been any noticeable loss of flavour at all!
There are two Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridges included with the retail kit, so you will be vaping for quite some time before you need to purchase new pods!
Airflow
A stepless airflow adjustment slider is located on the back of the Argus G4, allowing for seamless and easy switching between a tight MTL draw and an airy RDL one, with everything in-between.
One thing I will say about the airflow control is that it does seem a little too easy to adjust, and you need to be careful about where your fingers are when holding the Argus G4 so that you don’t accidentally cover the airflow up.
I have got in the habit now of checking the airflow after taking it out of my pocket as on more than one occasion I have gone to take a big lung hit on it only to find that it has adjusted to the tightest setting, which isn’t the most pleasant vaping experience!
Battery Life
The Argus G4 is a bit of a monster when using the 0.7ohm and 1.0ohm resistance options, easily able to sail through a whole day’s worth of heavy vaping without breaking a sweat.
This does mean that the battery life is limited somewhat, and I will need to take a second kit out with me as I will get around six hours worth of heavy vaping before I need to charge the Argus G4 back up.
Pros
- The Multi-Ohm pods are very inventive and appeal to a broad range of vaping styles
- Excellent build quality
- Plenty of power at your fingertips
- Large 1650mAh High-Density Battery
- Compatible with the full range of Argus pods
- Big, clear screen
- Customisation options
- Charges up quickly
Cons
- Need to ramp the device up to the 35W maximum to get the most out of the 0.4ohm mode…
- …which hampers the battery life!
- Sensitive button which can lead to accidental pocket presses
- Airflow control is also a little on the sensitive side
Final Verdict
I think it is absolutely excellent that Voopoo are pushing the boundaries here and coming up with something as inventive as the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge, as the market has been crying out for some innovation for quite some time now!
Voopoo have genuinely brought a breath of fresh air to the pod system market with the Argus G4 and G4 Mini. The undeniable star of the show is the innovative Multi-Ohm Cartridge.
Being able to seamlessly switch between 0.4ohm, 0.7ohm, and 1.0ohm resistances using a single pod is a fantastic, industry-first quality-of-life upgrade that saves you the hassle (and expense!) of buying multiple packs of different pods.
Coupled with stellar build quality, a gorgeous zircon sandblasted metal finish, and a massive 1650mAh battery, the Argus G4 feels like a truly premium daily driver!
However, it’s not without its minor quirks. If you are a fan of the 0.4ohm RDL experience, be prepared to run it at the full 35W to get the best flavour, which will eat through that impressive battery much faster.
You’ll also need to be a bit mindful of the overly sensitive airflow slider and firing button when slipping the device in and out of your pocket.
So, what should you go for between the Argus G4 and G4 Mini?
Go for the Argus G4 if you want the full-fat experience, a bright HD display, adjustable wattage, and the ability to utilize the punchy 0.4ohm mode on the Argus Multi-Ohm Cartridge.
Or, if you prefer a simplified, auto-draw, “plug-and-play” experience and don’t mind sticking exclusively to the 0.7 and 1.0ohm option, the Argus G4 Mini might be the one for you.
Ultimately, Voopoo have succeeded in pushing boundaries in a market that has been crying out for real innovation.
If you’re looking for an ultra-versatile kit that delivers phenomenal flavour and high-end aesthetics straight out of the box, the Argus G4 is an easy recommendation!
