The IJOY Mercury is a beautiful looking, weighty all-in-one system that has an integrated internal battery and some pretty fancy designs!
Shenzhen IJOY Technology Co.ltd is based in (surprise) China, IJOY have been around the vape scene for a long time!
They have bought us many vaping products over the years! Mods like – Shogun JR, Mystique Mod, Shogun UNIV Mod, and tanks/RDA’s/RTA’s like Avenger Sub Ohm Tank, EXO RTA and the Katana RDA.
What Can We Expect from the Mercury Pod System?
IJOY call this kit a Pod System, it’s really an AIO (All in One) kit!
Available in 4 different colour designs, the IJOY Mercury is powered by an 1100mAh integrated battery that will fire up to 12 watts. The Mercury is a low wattage device that allows you to adjust the voltage from 3.25-3.45v.
The device comes with 2 replaceable stock coils and the tank will hold 2ml of e-liquid. Featuring adjustable airflow control and resin covered sides this beautiful little mod can expel a restricted direct to lung hit as well as a great mouth to lung for a full flavoured vape.
What is Mouth to Lung and Direct to Lung vaping?
While I don’t have many IJOY products in my collection I do have some. Although a little older, one of my favourite setups to this day is the IJOY Limitless 200W paired with the IJOY Limitless RDTA, a difficult combination but if setup correctly the pair are phenomenal.
This kit was kindly sent to us for review, like always my thoughts and views on this product are my own after a considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
The Kit come nicely presented in a card draw box.
IJOY Mercury Internal Tank
The tank has 4 parts (including the coil and mouthpiece) and is made of Stainless Steel, Plastic and Ceramic Resin.
Base, Airflow and Coils
Starting with the base, it is made of stainless steel with threads that screw in to the tank body.
There is a small O’ring around the bottom of the threads for a tight seal. The base has a one slot airflow which is easy to dial to suit your needs.
IJOY include 2 coils with the kit.

- 1.2Ω Mercury Coil – rated for 8-12W
Tank
The tank that comes pre installed within the Mercury is made of plastic although it looks and feels like glass it is plastic. If you look carefully you will see a faint seam running one side of the tank.
The tank has a stainless steel threaded ring into which you screw your base and coil.
The ring looks as if it might be removed from the tank as it has an O’ring under it. Try as I may I have not yet been able to remove this section.
The chimney section is made of stainless steel it is non removable it is embedded into the inside top part of the tank.
As you screw your coil into the tank the chimney slides into the top of the coil. The top of the tank has a silicone bung plugging the fill port.
MouthPiece
You only get one mouthpiece with the kit. It’s made of a ceramic resin with stainless steel threads fixed to the drip tip for screwing into the main body of the mod.
Do not drop this mouth piece because it will easily break!
As you screw the mouthpiece on to the mod it will push the tank down to complete connection.
The design for the tank has been very well thought out with a good quality of manufacture.
The IJOY Mercury Battery | Mod
Made of Zinc Alloy, Stainless Steel and Resin the Mod holds an 1100mah internal battery, the Dimensions of the device are 78mm by 40mm by 20mm.
The battery is the classic square box, with chamfering along the edges making it very comfortable to hold in the hand.
it is small enough to be used as a stealth vape and has a decent weight behind it for its size.
Top and Bottom of the Mod
The tank sits to one side of the mod inside the battery casing hence the All In One (AIO) name. The battery has a wide hole for your tank and stainless steel threads for connecting your mouth piece.
if you look into where the tank sits you will see the 3 gold plated connector pins which are spring loaded.
The mod has provision for a lanyard to be attached although there isn’t one included in the kit.
The bottom of the device has the normal printed information.
Fire Button, Lights and USB port
The battery has a recessed operation button, which fires the device as well as changing the desired voltage.
The lights directly under the operation button indicate your voltage level as well as battery state.
The micro USB charge port is located under the indicator lights.
Sides of the device
The Mercury has colourful resin plates. Both sides have an airflow space as well as a viewing window each side so you can keep an eye on your liquid level. 
The battery is excellent quality, with a superb job done on design and quality of manufacture.
How Does the IJOY Mercury Kit Perform?
For this review I will be using the 1.0Ω Mesh coil with Mango flavoured CBD vape juice from CBD Sorcery.
Basic Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Mercury Tank and Change the Coil
I would recommend you run down the liquid when changing the coil.
- Decide which of the 2 coils you want to use, remove the mouth piece from the device and tip the unit to remove the tank.
- Unscrew the base of the tank and unscrew the old coil.
- Pre wick the new coil, by dropping a few drops of liquid into the top of the coil head to start the process of soaking the cotton! Screw the new coil back into the base and replace the base into the tank.
4. Remove the silicone plug to fill the tank with e-liquid.
5.  Replace the plug, set the airflow to your desired position now!
6.  Place the filled tank back into the Mercury, and screw the mouth piece back into position.
Tip/s – Don’t fire the device straight away leave it standing for 5 minutes so the coil can soak up more e-liquid, also I tend to stay away from high citrus liquids as they may affect the plastic tank.
Battery operation
5 rapid clicks will turn the device on and off
The battery has 3 types of adjustable output.
- Blue LED – Represents 3.45V
- Green LED – Represents 3.35V
- Red LED – Represents 3.25V
To navigate these voltages press the fire button rapidly 3 times for each value
Battery indication levels LED lights
- 100 – 70% = 3 Green lights
- 70 – 35% = 2 Green lights
- 35 – 1% = 1 Green light
- Red – Flashing 10 times is the charge prompt

Flavour and Vapour quality
3.35 – 3.45 Volts
I set the device up on 3.45v (Blue LED) and setting the airflow to open fully.
I received a warm restricted direct to lung draw with adequate cloud production.
The flavour was good, not stellar, I did a test chain vape of 5 toots the airflow handled it quite well but I could feel the tank getting hot via the observation windows.
Next I took the tank out and reduced the airflow to half and set the volts on (Green LED) 3.35v and re assembled the tank in to the Mercury, I was able to get a decent mouth to lung draw.
The vapour was not as warm or as thick but I expected that, what I was not expecting was the sudden burst of flavour from my Mango CBD liquid.
It was almost like biting into the fruit sweet and juicy with a slight sharpness as it hit my taste buds.
My personal opinion is that IJOY have nailed both MTL and DTL.
Coil and Battery life
While I have been vaping on the 1.0Ω coil for well over a week and it has performed very well, I have noticed over the last day or two that the intensity of the flavour has dropped a bit still a week with one coil is damn good in my book.
At 3.35v I managed to get 6 hrs between charges, charging is a little slow for such a small device just over 2hrs from flat.

Final Review Verdict
I can honestly say that most of my time spent with this kit has been a love hate relationship!
It has its good points like flavour, longevity of the coils and most importantly the price of the kit! But it also has its annoying little niggles that could, over time, drive me mad LOL.
Things like the mouthpiece. I would liked to have seen an extra threaded cap included with provision for me to use my own drip tips, as it stands if the one supplied was to be broken the mod would be rendered useless.
The tank is another sticking point with me being made of plastic I have to avoid my favourite citrus liquids for fear of damaging the tank; saying that the kit performed exactly as it says on the tin.
Would I recommend the Mercury AIO Starter Kit?
Yes I would, to new vapers and flavour chasers.
Would I buy the iJoy Mercury kit again due loss or damage?
No, too much messing around every time I want to change the airflow.

i have this tank for my mtl use so not really fussed about the niggly airflow aspect, the tank really should have been glass, i mean its protected by whole mod. Another thing is that any of the artery pal 2 coils work in this.
